It is sad that Kiki Cholakis was given 10 more years to hurt the families of Rensselaer County.

What people think of Judge Kiki Cholakis
It takes just a Google search to find out what people think of Judge Kiki Cholakis. There are several videos on Youtube complete with the audio recordings of her voice yelling at parents who came before her court.

Why is Kiki lying about her opponent?
Kiki Cholakis was at the fund-raising breakfast at the
Castleton Fire Company on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012. She went table to
table being introduced to residents by Debra Young, Schodack Town Board
member, former Schodack Republican Club officer and candidate for
Rensselaer County Court.
Some residents later reported that Cholakis claimed that her opponent had "no court experience" and they found it unprofessional and nasty - just as many people describe Cholakis' judicial temperament.
The incident is troubling for a number of reasons - first, judicial candidates have strict rules they must abide by when campaigning. One of the rules is that they can't bad-mouth the other candidates.
In bad-mouthing and lying about her opponent, Cholakis clearly demonstrated that she feels the rules don't apply to her. She also shows she is out of touch with the people who live in this county.
But more to the point - does Kiki Cholakis think that her behavior demonstrates that she is a professional and ethical judge worthy of remaining on the bench?

- Does she really think people are unaware of her record?
- Does she really believe that nobody knows her opponent's solid record as an attorney?
- Does she really think that nobody knows she is lying and breaking the rules?
- Does she really think that people aren't talking about it?
But more to the point - does Kiki Cholakis think that her behavior demonstrates that she is a professional and ethical judge worthy of remaining on the bench?

(I didn’t edit the writings…lord knows, I have enough issues editing myself.)Granting Visitation to an Abusive Drug AddictJudge Catherine Cholakis had granted visitation to my son's father who was physically abusive to me in the presense of the child as well as a drug addict. He had abused his own mother who is now ordered to supervise the visits. She has also asked in court "Why isnt Dad asking for more time?" I am absolutely appaled by her decision. My own lawyer told me that "The way she sees it is that just because Dad was abusive to Mom it doesnt mean that he will be to the child." That is absolutely absurd. I am now court ordered to let my son go hours away because this judge doesnt seem to mind that the child is directly in harms way by going with this person.
JUDGE CATHERINE CHOLAKIS RENSSELEAR COUNTY FAMILY COURT SHOULD BE DISBARREDI was a witness in the court room of Judge Catherine Cholakis. Judge Cholakis needs to be disbarred. She has been sent for judicial review but she has her law clerk turn the microphone off so all her awful comments aren’t heard. She doesn’t know one case to the next. All she has done is made threats to a mother who is trying to protect her son. The father and the mother were supposed to go see the court psychologist. The judge said whoever doesn’t go will have to pay the county $500 and she will not like that person. The father didn’t go, and she yelled at the mother and said " I would have expected this out of you" Then on another occasion she was yelling at the mothers lawyer who was trying to have her read the CPS reports, she said to the mother you are smirking and if u want to smirk then I will make something bad happen!! The mothers lawyer said my client wasn’t smirking she hasn’t said 2 words. the mother said the same thing, and again the judge threatened to take the child away from the mother, and put the lawyer in contempt. The law guardian Jo- Katz is useless as well. CPS wrote a report that the boy was getting abused. The Law guardian said it was the mother. She has never even met the child, and when asked to meet the child she said she doesn’t like to talk to children. She wouldn’t look at documentation from CPS or the doctors. But the father has been indicated 3 times for neglect/maltreatment, And the CPS report states its all the father as well as the childs doctors. The one good thing that Cholakis said to the Law Guardian was the CPS reports indicates the father and that the mother is doing a great job with her son. but then she starts to laugh some more about the CPS report that indicates the father who is abusing his son! The Law Guardian is in the same lawyers office as the father. The judge laughed at the reports from CPS and the doctors, wouldn’t listen to the police who went on behalf of the mother to say what kind of state the child was in when he wasn’t brought home from his weekend visit, and made the mother go to the emergency room ASAP! What does it have to take for the judge to do her job? Another child get killed? Something really need to be done!!Judge Catherine Cholakis Helping crook rip off old ladies estateWhen it comes to Judge Cholakis there is no way to work in the word honorable and still keep a straight face. Shes a despicable disgrace to the bench and the entire legal system. That corrupt Judge assisted a crook Robin Dillon in the stealing of the entire estate of Joan M James of Rensselaer NY while acting as the executrix of the estate and threating protecting orders and bogus criminal charges, on any one that attempted to bring the crook to account for the deeds. Now the judge is trying to force the rightful owners of a house to sign it over to the crook, and trying to prevent the assets being transfered threw the probate court which is who should have jurisdiction over a probate and property dispute. The crook was allowed to enter any thing they made up in to evidence and the other side was not allowed to even speak or answer a single question with out the judge telling them what answer's to give and what to say. She is even allowing the crook to use an order of protection as a shield against being served a summons to go to court to account for the funds that the executrix and the judge conspired to steal. She needs to be removed from the bench.Sure, a judge is always going to have some complaints but Cholakis had 72….Breslin had 4. I didn’t even know what KiKi looked like so I looked for some images…or videos. I found a few….again, Campaign KiKi…you need to do some search engine strategy and smother the “bad” stuff. Ask HHR for a tutorial.Here’s an audio of a claimant discussing KiKi’s hatred for him…the lawyer acknowledges that the judge just hated him…apparently, that qualifies you for being a WFP endorsed judge. This one’s outrageous.
In this one, da Judge threatens a father with jail when he tries to go on record about possible child endangerment….from the transcript (with inserts):Julie Chang, represented by Attorney Carla Brogoch and Attorney Ellen Schell, testified to the following on March 23, 2005:
ELLEN SCHELL, ESQ.: What do you think about the feasibility of continuing to share joint custody with Mister Chang?
PETITIONER JULIE CHANG: Would be - it would - there's no way it would work.

PETITIONER JULIE CHANG: Because I don't want to have to continue for the rest of their lives until they're twenty-one, every time we wanna go on a vacation, every time they want to go to their grandparents(who Julie Ingram accused of raping her), every time we want to take them on a cruise (with her boyfriend, NY State Trooper Joseph Carpenter), or Mexico (with her boyfriend, NY State Trooper Joseph Carpenter), or whatever, once a year, we try to take the kids somewhere. Judge Catherine Cholakis threatens litigant with jail for objecting in order to protect the court record from misrepresentations of courtroom events by Judge Cholakis. Judge repeatedly refused to hear facts on child endangerment , child abuse, and stalking/harassment by Julie Chang....I'm glad Judge KiKi got the endorsement from the looneybin…I wish she didn’t have the endorsement of my friends in the GOP and the Conservative Parties. I sit in an awful lot of courtroom and NEVER have I heard a Judge act like this…though, I’ve got a feeling that if the WFP ever had their way…I’d hear an awful lot more of it. While I’ve not heard anything as unprofessional as both of the judges in the above videos, I can say I’ve heard worse judging, but that’s because I’ve observed the legendary HHR.

Here we are again. Another voting season
is upon us. Another chance to tell those in power of our lives that we
will have a voice and it will be heard and counted! This time, this
season — voices long muffled have come out and are actively protesting
the complacency of our leaders, the corruption and greed of the banks
and corporations that we supported, and our corporate sponsored
characters running this country. We are affected by their misuse and
abuse of powers and we are letting the world know, enough Occupy Wall
Street has gone viral. Because the corporate/government bond was/is too
intimate, it allowed for too much corruption to go unnoticed. The effect
on the regular Joe was felt and felt hard. I’m hopeful the public at
large is now more awakened to the corruption in their own communities,
their own local government.
When you go to the polls on Nov. 8, please make your vote count.
One very important race, in my opinion, is that of Supreme Court Justice, Appellate Division Third Judicial district. There are two opens eats and one will definitely affect you, a family member, neighbor, or friend should you have a civil, family or state matter that begs for justice.
The Appellate Division hears appeals directly from the Supreme Court, County Courts, Family Courts, Surrogate Courts and the Court of Claims. The Appellate Division, and especially the Third Department because of its location in the state’s capital, also hears appeals from decisions by state agencies. So, if you or your family feel that you need to be heard again due to a lower court’s perhaps misuse of power or misinterpretation of law, you would appeal to hopefully end up with a judge with a clear mind and balanced judgment to hear your case fully and hopefully reverse the unjust or unwise decision of a lower court. It is your right and at least it affords you another shot at justice.
This is an important race.
The Honorable Judge Edward Spain is vacating the bench due to hitting a number that defies his continued good service after a long and respectable career, as is Presiding Justice Anthony Cardona who also is heading for retirement.
This year Republicans Guy Roemer, an Albany County attorney is running along with Rensselaer County Family Court Judge Catherine “Kiki” Cholakis, Democrats have given the nomination to North Greenbush Justice Ray Elliott and Thomas Breslin, both experienced judges.
There is no question that those trying to fill the robes of these retiring judges need scrutiny. When one thinks of a judge, words like fair, objective and reasonable come to mind. A judge should present himself/herself with a clear sense of having a mind that is able to control/balance their biases with reason instead of emotion or personal/professional biases. You do not want someone judging you, your business, or your family who is hotheaded, temperamental, biased and clearly incapable of seeing the truth beyond their own power. Your life and family’s lives depend on it.
So, before Election Day, please Google the candidates of all those desirous of wearing these robes. Please do not be lured by campaigns that tell you simply having a specific gender make for a more competent candidate either. Google them. You may hear a voice on Youtube of a current judge that has been endorsed by your party to run for this highly respectable position. Is that the voice of reason you would want hearing your case? You, the voter want to be the deciding, discerning factor for this seat. Look on those sites that report the conduct of judges and if something does not feel or sound right, light to that. Then use your judgment to direct the lever. A judge is someone you hope is fair at the very minimum. How many judges are “appointed” the first time? Those that are appointed the first time may prove incompetent by the very people they serve who pay the salary they claim is too low. Perhaps their appointment had nothing to do with their talent and more to do with their association of others, perhaps a legacy.
Please do your homework. Talk to people, your neighbors, friends and co-workers about those you are considering voting for and share what you know about them.
