Unlike most other courts, Family Court sessions are secret, so reporters and the general public are not allowed to see and hear for themselves Cholakis' questionable judicial temperament.

There are many first-hand reports of Cholakis' unprofessional conduct. Some are presented here, but there are surely many others. We encourage people who have experienced the dark side of Judge Cholakis to share their stories here, in complete anonymity.

Cholakis is running for re-election this year, (Nov. 6, 2012) and the more voters are aware of her terrible record, the less likely it will be that Rensselaer County families and children will have to endure 10 more years of this unprofessional judge.

Your real life experiencs with Judge Kiki Cholaksi - OPEN THREAD

We have posted much of what we have found on the web concerning Kiki's disturbing behavior. Now it is time for you to speak up. Please add your experiences with her as a comment below this post (thread).

The future of so many Rensselaer County families depends on us getting the word out on Cholakis and her abusive attitude to those who come before her.

Please help us keep her from gaining another 10 years to ruin the lives of Rensselaer County families and children!

    My friend was disabled and couldn't work and fell behind on his child support. Cholakis told him to pay up, even if he had to get another job. She would not listen to reason or even the facts. She assumes all men are deadbeat dads.

    My kids are suffering because Cholakis has totally screwed by husband for child support for his first wife. She could work but she doesn't want to. Our two kids are the losers because he is paying so much for child support for his first child. But she doesn't even use the money on my husband's daughter. We are always buying her clothes and everything because she doesn't use the money for his daughter. We want to have full custody but Cholakis doesn't want to hare anything against his x. She is tearing us apart. but it is not enough that he wont listen to any body, she is so nasty to my husband he is a good husband and a good father but she wont listen to anything. cholakis is a terrible judge, always yelling at people and not listening to anyone. I hope she looses this election!

    Judges shouldn't yell at people. This is hard enough without getting yelled at when you go to family court to get child support for your kids. why does she even want to be judge, she acts like she hates being there.

    I went to court with a friend and Cholakis wasn't as bad as some of these stories say she was. But she didn't look like she wanted to be there. She was curt and short tempered. Why doesn't she just do something else if she hates family court so much?

    Cholakis is a nasty woman, inconvenienced by her job. She enjoys belittling EVERYONE, and absolutely should NOT be making such crucial decisions involving children. OUR CHILDREN DESERVE BETTER!!! CHOLAKIS needs a psychological evaluation herself. She is NOT FIT to be a judge. NASTY WOMAN.

    She absolutely does NOT have the right disposition for the job. She also seems extremely inconvenienced by the job. She works for US, right?
